If you try to run the Intel diagnostics, everything runs fine until it gets to test the actual connection, an then it says that there are no WiFi connections available. Experiencing poor wireless connectivity (high packet loss and latency) after Windows 7 upgrade (Intel WiFi Link 5100 wireless card) when computer has been running/idle for a while After upgrading to Windows 7 Pro, I found my wireless connection is degrading after the computer is running for a while (seems to happen after its been idle for a bit in particular). This happens but rarely) it also shows NO WiFi connections available. If the adapter does not disappear (sometimes This happens at home, the office, in hotels, at hot spots etc. Yet, I have another machine that is actively connected using WiFi. When you look at availableĬonnections, there are NO WiFi connections shown. Somtimes it will mintain the connection for hours othertimes it boots up without a connection (no adapter). I have reloaded the latest device drivers from SONY. I have made sure the network adapter does not have power Machine is SONY Vaio VGN Z570N running WIndows 7 Ultimate (not sure of the buil number, but the latest available). Only way to get it back is to re-boot the machine.
